I spent three hours playing Torchlight instead of reinstalling Windows on a dead computer.

I love how my “massive army” of nether imps completely destroys everything before I even realize it’s in the room. the last three bosses I fought I never even landed a hit because of those things. Though, right now, I can only summon four, I’ve managed to glitch a 5th one into existence.

I also enjoy how my playstyle changed over the course of the night. When I started this character I figured I’d go the typical ranged caster with an army of minions to do the dirty work. Now I run in with a flaming sword, a shield that reflects damage, and a magic barrier absorbs most oncoming attacks, use an AoE stun spell, and attack anything left standing.

Of course, by the time I’m actually in the fight the enemies have been decimated by my imps so there’s not much to do, and the stun spell usually finishes off anything the imps haven’t yet.
